Helical staircase silver

Situated in the entrance area of SWISSMEM in Zurich, the helical staircase with closed soffit is a real eye-catcher. The specific choice of colour and the beautifully tuned oak steps of the stairs, sets itself apart from the known standard. Luginbühl Holzbau assembled the steps directly on the construction of the prepared base plate, with extreme precision. The ring of the banister looms slightly down into the room, according to fire protection requirements. The steel sheet stringer, combined with the closed soffit, appears as if made from one single cast.
